What is Transformer Oil?
Transformer oil, commonly known as insulating oil, is also called
dielectric oil. Its main function is cooling and insulation, and it
also has the function of eliminating the arc generated when the
circuit is cut off. The quality of transformer oil (insulating oil)
may gradually deteriorate under the influence of external
impurities, contact with air, and the high operating temperature of
the equipment itself.
Why Should Transformer Oil Be Filtered?
Transformer oil is the main insulation and cooling medium of
oil-immersed transformers. Its electrical strength and chemical
composition directly affect the performance of transformers. If the
oil contains a small amount of water and impurities, the dielectric
strength will be reduced; and the oil will be easily oxidized and
deteriorated at high temperatures when it is in contact with
oxygen. Therefore, the transformer oil should be filtered when the
transformer is installed.
The Purpose of Transformer Oil Filtration
It is to remove moisture, gas, and impurities in the transformer
oil, improve the electric strength of the oil, protect the paper
insulation in the oil, and also improve the physical and chemical
properties.
Precautions of Sino-NSH Vacuum insulating oil purifier
1. The ambient temperature of the machine should be within the
range of -25 to 45°C.
2. The altitude of the site will directly affect the vacuum of the
machine, the higher the altitude, the lower the vacuum (negative
value).
3. The oil to be treated should not be too dirty (that is, there
are too many impurity particles in the oil), otherwise, it must be
fully filtered with other filtering equipment (such as the plate
and frame oil filter produced by our factory) to avoid affecting
the degassing of the oil machine Efficiency or clogged filter
elements affect the life of the oil machine.
Why is the transformer oil dehydration and filtration machine
